CITY OF CHARLOTTE – UPCOMING ELECTIONS

THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE IS CONDUCTING THE FOLLOWING ELECTIONS

A CITY GENERAL ELECTION – November 7, 2023

Polls open 7:00 a.m. and Close 8:00 p.m.

Polling Locations:

Precincts have been combined for this election as follows:

District 1 Precinct 1: City Hall, 111 E. Lawrence Ave. Community Room (basement)
District 1 Precinct 2: City Hall, 111 E. Lawrence Ave. Community Room (basement)

District 2 Precinct 1: City Hall, 111 E. Lawrence Ave. Council Chambers (2nd floor)
District 2 Precinct 2: City Hall, 111 E. Lawrence Ave. Council Chambers (2nd floor)

If registering to vote within 15 days of any election you desire to vote in, including the day of the election, you must register in person at the clerk’s office and provide proof of residency (find more voter registration info here)

ABSENTEE VOTING
CITY OF CHARLOTTE

The City Clerk will mail you an application for an absentee ballot if your voting record indicates you would like to be on the Permanent Absentee Ballot list.  You may otherwise apply for an absentee ballot online here

Submit your paper absentee ballot application by

1. in person to the Clerk (111 E. Lawrence Ave.) or

2. fax (517) 543-8845 or

3. email clerk@charlottemi.org (scan or photo must be submitted as a .pdf attachment) or

4. by postal mail      City Clerk’s Office

5. drop it in one of the 2 (two) drop boxes located at 111 E. Lawrence Ave. in the front vestibule or back parking lot – drive up along Washington St

6. You may complete an online application too. These are delivered electronically to the Clerk by the State.

As required by election law, the City Clerk’s Office will be open on the Saturday preceding any election from  8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to apply for and obtain an Absentee Ballot.
