The City of Charlotte Ad Hoc Committee on Code Enforcement is seeking community input on this issue. The committee has been charged with making recommendations to increase the effectiveness of local code enforcement.

There will be a public input session on Thursday evening, April 15 starting at 7 p.m. This will be a virtual public meeting, and you can participate by following the instructions below.

The committee is interested in hearing from residents regarding their suggested priorities for code enforcement. This could include opinions about what problems should receive the most immediate attention, such as accumulations of junk, inoperable vehicles or something else; and what general areas of the community residents believe need to be prioritized. Other thoughts on the issue of local code enforcement are also welcome.

If you are not available to participate at that time, or would prefer to submit comments in writing, you an do that at any time between now and next Thursday’s meeting. Please use the contact form on the city’s webpage, which can be found here.

All written comments will be shared with the committee members, and may be read or referenced at public meetings of the committee.
