The City of Charlotte is prepared to assist you with any issues related to local industrial development. Charlotte has a long and distinguished history as a manufacturing center in Mic-Michigan. It’s location close to I-69, I-96 and I-94 make Charlotte a convenient location for many manufacturers to do business.
Charlotte’s Samuel A. Combs Industrial Park is a Michigan Certified Business Park with room to expand. If you are interested in learning more about Combs Park, click here for a development guide that includes information about tax incentives for manufacturers.
The majority of the property that comprises Combs Park was a gift to the city from Samuel A. Combs, who had an enduring interest in the development of the community.
Of course, a great deal of manufacturing occurs in Charlotte outside of Combs Park. There is also the Dean Industrial Park, which is home to Spartan Motors, Charlotte’s largest employer. There are other manufacturing operations, large and small, throughout the community.
If you have a manufacturing enterprise that is considering development, expansion or relocation, please contact Charlotte Community Development Director Bryan Myrkle at (517) 543-8853.
