As the proud seat of Eaton County, Charlotte is also home to the Eaton County governmental complex. Our fire department and its core of volunteers is one of the best in the state and our police department continues to serve and protect with continuous training and community policing efforts.

Working together, the people of Charlotte now have the Eaton Area Senior Center , which serves as a hub of senior activity in our community. We also have a beautiful skate park within Lincoln Park and a sledding hill and ice skating rink near by. The Battle Creek winds its way through more than a hundred acres of woods at Bennett Park while next door a semi-professional football team competes on the gridiron.
