Shepherd Street Reconstruction - beginning August, 2008

This project will totally reconstruct Shepherd Street from State Street to Cochran Avenue. The road will be reconfigured to have two travel lanes with a center turn lane the entire length. Improvements will be made at the railroad crossing, including upgrading to a concrete crossing and modifying the road profile. The contractor is C&D Hughes from Charlotte. The project was made possible through an economic development grant through the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Street Closure Notice

West Shepherd – will be closed at the railroad crossing to reconstruct the tracks and crossing until Friday, October 31, 2008. (No thru traffic).
